The Simple Idea…

Three cows grazing on a lush green pasture with trees and a cloudy sky in the background. Grass fed beef from Light Hill Farm.

What if you could join us on the farm?

So we had this idea that if you joined us in purchasing steers before they became dinner, you could save a TON of money on a super high quality protein. We recently checked prices at a local grocery chain and grass fed ground beef was being sold for $10.99/lb while a ribeye steak was being sold for $20.99/lb!! What if you could pay a bulk price for all your cuts that was less than the grocery store??

That is what we’re aiming to provide. Grass fed beef, sourced as locally as possible, offered at a price that you can’t find in the stores.

Coming Soon… On Farm Freezers!!

One of the biggest inhibitors to buying a side of beef is figuring out where to store it. Add to that the cost of the freezers and you may think it’s just easier to buy your beef at the store. And from a convenience standpoint, you’d probably be right.

HOWEVER, we think it would be really cool (pun intended) to have a few freezers here on the farm that our community could utilize. That way, you as an owner would be able to request cuts of your beef as needed. For example, if you know you want a couple of T-Bone steaks for dinner tomorrow night and a couple pounds of ground beef for fajitas the following night, you could put in your request and our team here on the farm would pull the cuts for you to pick up later in the day. We’ll have more information on this soon!
